So, this winter I applied to Lawrence Technological University for Computer Science. It’ super expensive and a far drive for me. The plus side is that it has a smaller class size. I also just got a FIRST Robotics Scholarship for 2K a semester. That sounds like a lot, but the cost per credit hour is almost a thousand dollars. So really, it’d only pay for 2 credits?
After applying for LTU a coworker of mine mentioned how University of Michigan - Dearborn offered a Digital Forensics degree with heavy emphasis on computer science. The campus is not only closer, but the tuition is cheaper as well. The down side is that I have to take a Math Placement test and can’t enter the College of Engineering and Computer Science with that major until I can get to Pre Calc. I am, however, allowed to belong to CASL under undecided until I get my math up.
I am just kind of looking for advice on what others would do in this situation. :-/
P.S. I should also add that I would have to find a new job if I went to LTU, but at U of M-D I could keep my job and just alter my schedule.
